About
About 86’d
86’d tracks every business from Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and hotel rescue shows and checks whether they’re still open or got 86’d.
Why I Made This
I was on holiday and ended up binge-watching Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell for days. After every episode I’d find myself Googling “is [restaurant] still open?” — and the answers were scattered across random blog posts and Reddit threads. So I built this: one place to track every business Gordon Ramsay tried to save, automatically kept up to date.

What does 86’d mean?
In restaurant slang, “86’d” means something is gone — out of stock, removed from the menu, or a customer who’s been kicked out. We use it to ask: has this restaurant been 86’d?
The Data
We currently track 175 businesses across all four shows — Kitchen Nightmares US, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell, and 24 Hours to Hell and Back. Status information is verified weekly using the Google Places API.
Methodology
Initial data was compiled from Wikipedia episode lists, Kitchen Nightmares fan wikis, Reality TV Revisited, and other tracking sites. Each business was cross-referenced for accuracy.
Ongoing status checks run automatically on a weekly schedule. Each business is verified against the Google Places API and the status is updated if it has changed. All changes are logged with timestamps.
